Why you need to encourage your Buyer's review of the HOA Documents and Deed Restrictions, 4-20-17

Oftentimes, Buyers rely on their agent to review and interpret important title documents. This week, Dawn addresses why it is so important for the Buyer to take ownership of this process.

I had no idea that the HOA's are required to post their restrictions on their websites.
Thank you for the "heads up"!

I didn't know they were required either. Great information - as always! Thanks Dawn!

I was discussing this with the management of an HOA and the response was: we do post it; but we do it behind a secure login portal just for that HOA. Since they are abiding by the law because it's actually posted, how does the buyer gain access at that point? Just go through the seller or seller's agent to download the document and provide it to the buyer?

Dawn - I can't thank you enough for doing these Tip of the Week videos - I learn, or am reminded, of so many important aspects of our industry. Especially this one about having the buyers read the HOA docs... I have not emphasized that enough to my buyers but will definitely do so from now on.

Thx!!! Kathy
